So I was at the philly convention on a smoke break when this young man comes up to me and asked if I spoke at the Lima Juvenile Detention Center just outside Philly. I told him I had. Turns out he was locked up there and heard my story. He didn’t remember my name but after 2 years he remembered every part of my story and told me how much it impacted him at the time and thanked me. He tells me he’s now doing really good, just started a record label and is staying out of trouble. I’m sharing this because it’s so rare to be able to reach troubled youth with a positive message. Talking to him really strengthen my hope and faith in reaching our kids and helping to give them the courage to change their lives when they’ve been through nothing but hard times and abuse. I was that youth once. I went through the same pain and know there’s hope for a brighter future…so I share that every chance I get. #grateful #hope
